I can’t thank John and his staff for an amazing adventure with training my White German Shepherd to be a service dog for me. They did an amazing job with teaching me and my Harley May what to do. They were so very kind and Had plenty of patience with us as we went through training. I highly recommend VonBernd K-9 training center for training your dog for anything they have to offer. Harley graduated at 6.5 months old and is doing a great job going to my doctors appointments, and Walmart. I was very pleased with the treatment of everyone to my family and my Harley. We found Vonbernd K9 Training Center when we needed help with our 9 month and 3 year old German Shepherds. In 2 to 3 training sessions, we had great results with both dogs. Different tactics were needed with the different personalities of each dog and John provided those tips and insights to bring about the training we were looking for. Our training time continued as long as we needed. It is great knowing we can call and schedule a "tune up" or if other training issues come up. John is obviously an experienced trainer. His knowledge and insight into animal behavior is quite remarkable. John does not train our dog. John trains my husband and I to train our dog and then we train our dog. A unique and innovative approach which apparently is the basis for his Centers' success. At the initial evaluation John took control of our dog and had him heeling at his command. A feat we did not think possible considering the unruliness and constant pulling we were enduring with him. A mistaken idea I find many dog owners share. Our dog is adapting well to the training and appears to enjoy going through his paces through the week as well. We are looking forward to continuing our training with John and/or Sam. At the end of the official training we know without a shadow of a doubt; both our dog and us will have a mutual respect and admiration for one another and we will all be well-behaved. We consider our money and time well spent for this quality of training. My husband and I highly recommend the Vonbernd K9 Training Center and can testify to the excellence of the training and to both John and Sam as Professional Trainers.

We have also now completed extensive defensive training with our German Shepherd male. He now knows when to be protective and when to willingly accept those around us. He is a most gentle dog with both adults and children but will defend us assertively when - and only when - called upon to do so. John's patience with him and us, and his willingness to be the "attack dummy" has been a joy to experience. Rex has passed his certification for "apprehension" and absolutely goes nuts when he sees the bull outside Boot City. His woof woof training has been turned into a very positive game for him that now gives us great comfort when we are both at home and out in the community. Thank you John and Sam! Obviously, we highly recommend this training.

We are extremely pleased with the training our German Shepherd male received at Von Bernd. John and Sam have trained us and our young dog to be a very obedient and happy companion. Started when 9 months and now 15 months old. Amazing results in a very professional and friendly atmosphere. All training has been "one on one". We have completed the obedience sessions and will go back for tuneups as necessary. We will recommend Von Bernd to all who see our GSD with us. Great results, thank you!
